Philips Restaurant

A new build restaurant in Redhill, Surrey. Views are controlled by windows opening to the terrace and gardens. A grid of trees under roof lights gives a sense of the garden running through the dining area.

The brief for this building called for a staff refectory that did not feel like a canteen but a good quality restaurant. The site is adjacent to a parking garage and therefore views were controlled. In response large windows were opened to the garden view and a grid of trees under rooflights give a sense of the garden running right through the dining area. A terrace allows the restaurant to open out in each direction and careful landscaping creates the illusion that it sits in an oasis of green.
